For the second week running, Liverpool caused the biggest upset of the NCAFC Last Man Standing. They could only draw at lowly West Brom which knocked 25 people out of the competition.
Man United were the second biggest casualties of the round. Charlie Adam’s double for Stoke further compounded United’s woes, knocking out a further 20 punters from the competition.
Defeats for Newcastle (8 backers), Swansea (2 backers), Man City (1 backer) and Spurs’ draw (6 backers) with Hull meant a total of 62 people bowed out of round 3 of The NCAFC Last Man Standing!
This week a special mention must go to Gareth Young who was the only person to take a chance on bottom club West Ham. The gamble paid off as the Happy Hammers beat Swansea 2-0 to record their first home win since November – a result which has since cost Swansea Manager Michael Laudrup his job!
The full list of Round 3 results can be seen below. If your name is highlighted in red at the bottom of the list then unfortunately you have been eliminated! Congratulations to the other 83 people still remaining in the competition, a text/email will be sent to you on Thursday with the fixtures for round 4. Your selection must be returned by no later than 7pm on Friday 7th February.
Thanks and Good Luck in the next round.
