NCAFC Lotto Jackpot now £7300!

The Newry City AFC Lotto numbers at our weekly draw on Monday (May 29) were 6, 11, 13 and 28.

Four punters matched three numbers – winning £10 each, but nobody matched all four numbers, which now means next week’s Jackpot is a whopping £7300!

If you would like to take part in our Lotto and be in with a chance of winning next week’s Jackpot, simply purchase a Lotto entry ticket which costs just £1! This is cheaper than the National Lottery and your chances of winning are significantly greater!

What’s more, all monies raised from the Lotto go into the development of the NCAFC Youth Academy, while also helping with the daily running costs at the club.

NCAFC Lotto tickets are available from the following outlets:

  • The Brass Monkey
  • Clanrye Electrical Supplies
  • McGuigan’s Bar
  • Ben Wilson Steel
  • Candy Box Newsagents
  • The Cue Club
  • AJ Plumbing Supplies
  • County Cleaners (Monaghan Street)
  • Jennings Park Newsagents

Kevin McArdle is the 2016/17 Website POTY

Kevin receiving his awards from Newry manager Darren Mullen

Congratulations to Kevin McArdle who has been voted by Newry City AFC fans as the Website Player of the Year for the 2016/17 season.

Kevin enjoyed a fantastic season with the club, picking up a plethora of individual awards at the presentation night on Friday evening.

The Dundalk native topped the 2016/17 Website poll with 18% of the 373 votes cast, while last season’s winner Thomas ‘Tucker’ McCann was second with 12% of the vote, closely followed by Declan Carville who was third with 11%.

Speaking to newrycityafc.co.uk, Kevin said:

“First of all I’d like to thank Darren, Ray, Mickey and Jervis for all the time and effort they put in throughout the season.

“I thought as a team the players were outstanding and after each setback we bounced back brilliantly.

“The personal awards last Friday were the icing on the cake and deep down I was delighted to be recognised individually with so many awards,” he said.

“But for me the most deserving award on the night was for our Supporter of the Year Daniel Murphy. He never misses a game and fully deserved his award!”

And looking forward to next season, Kevin added, “The standard has been set for next season and I can’t wait to hit the ground running in pre season. Hopefully we can provide some excitement for Daniel and the rest of our supporters.”

Newry ‘holm’ in on promotion

Newry make the short journey to Holm Park this evening to take on Armagh City in the second leg of the Promotion/Relegation Play-Off.

Darren Mullen’s men go into the match with a four goal advantage following a comprehensive 4-0 victory at the Showgrounds in the first leg of the Play-Off on Tuesday. There is still all to play for though, as Armagh will no doubt prove to be a completely proposition on the Holm Park, 3G pitch.

Come on Newry!

Kick off is at 7:45pm.
