Both Peter and Niall’s selections failed to win on Saturday! Rather than picking teams again next week, both men have agreed to split the prize money, pocketing £250 each. Well done lads!
Thanks to everybody that took part in the competition, it was great craic but more importantly it raised plenty of money for the club. We’re hoping to run another one for the start of next season.
Congratulations to all of our 2014 Easter draw winners!
They are as follows:
1st prize – £100 note – Paul Lyons
2nd prize – Meal for two – Gerard McKevitt
3rd prize – Paddy Power Voucher – Hayley Annett
4th prize – Box of beer – Aislinn Crossey
5th prize – Bottle of spirits – Johnny McVicker
Also, a big thanks to all of our ticket sellers for helping to raise some much needed cash for the club!
Photo: Newry City Manager Darren Mullen presents Mark Patton with the March Player of the Month award
At the end of every month throughout the season Newry City AFC supporters vote on our website for the Senior Player of the Month. The First Team Management then pick the winner from the three players with the most votes in the poll.
Mark Patton, Neil Barr and Paul McElroy received the most votes in the March poll but the Management team selected Mark as the winner.
Newrycityafc.co.uk caught up with Senior Team Manager Darren Mullen, who wished to congratulate Mark on his award.
“This award is well deserved as mark has been in great form. He has been an important part of our progress to date with his build up play and all round displays of a high standard. Hopefully he continues this form to help us achieve our goal of promotion.”
Many thanks to the folks at Destination Newry for their great coverage of the match against Richill FC last night.
