Darren Mullen has secured Philly Donnelly to play in blue & white for another
“Philly has been a terrific signing for us and it was vital that we secured him on this 2 year deal as there was obvious interest elsewhere. His ability to turn defence into attack will be very important for us next season and I’m looking forward to seeing him do that in a Newry jersey for the next few years.”
Donnelly commented “I really enjoyed my first season back at Newry so it was an easy decision to re-sign when Darren offered. Everyone at the club has been fantastic, especially the fans who have been so welcoming so I’m looking forward to continuing to growing that friendship over the next few years. Let’s go!!”

Carville Re-Signs

Manager Darren Mullen has also confirmed that Club Vice Captain Declan Carville will be staying at The Showgrounds for another season.
💭 “There aren’t too many like Decky about either on or off the pitch but his efforts as a player and vice-captain last season have earned him this new deal. When he puts his mind to it he’s a handful for any team and I’ve no doubt a fully fit Declan will have a big part to play next season.”
Carville commented “I am delighted to have signed a new contract. Last season was fantastic so I am now looking forward to getting started again and what the new season holds in the Premiership.” 💭

Maguire Re-Signs

Darren Mullen has also confirmed the re-signing of Goalkeeper Steven Maguire 🖊🥳
💭 “Stevie’s return to the club last season gave us a great boost in our quest for promotion and I was delighted to see him selected in the team of the year. You can see how much he loves playing for his hometown club and his new contract was an easy call for both parties.”
Maguire commented “I am delighted to have re-signed, I am really looking forward to the new season it can’t come quick enough. I can’t wait to represent my home town in the Premiership again, the club and the supporters mean so much to me so hopefully we will get a good pre season in and hit the ground running.” 💭

The King is to remain on the Throne

Manager Darren Mullen has secured the services of Club Captain Darren King for another year “There is no better player or role model within the squad to lead us back to The Premiership and I’m delighted he has committed again. His drive and will to win along with his fitness levels are a credit to him. I’ve no doubt he will be a huge asset to the younger lads next season.”
King commented “With still being on a high from this season past, I’m delighted to get pen to paper and start concentrating and working hard for next year. I’ve no doubt an exciting season awaits both players and supporters of NCAFC collectively, and there’s no other group I would want to embrace it with.”
